R. Friend & Co. was founded in 1983 by Ralph and Diane Friend. Ralph has committed himself to serve clients with honesty and integrity. Drawing from a vast network of agriculturists and professionals in the industry, R.Friend & Co. builds value in real estate and investments every day.
Ralph Friend
President & Broker
With more than 40 years of real estate, agribusiness and food industry experience, Ralph Friend is the owner of several business centered in these industries.
For over 30 years Ralph has been licensed as a real estate Broker and currently is the President and Broker of Record of R. Friend & Co., R. Friend & Co represents a diverse list of local to global clients from farmers, ranchers, food processors, and industrial and commercial enterprises.
Ralph has a Bachelor of Science degree in Ag Business from Cal Poly, SLO, and a California Real Estate Brokers License. Ralph comes from a family with deep roots and relationships in California agriculture, having been in the industry for more than a century. The Friend Family started grazing sheep in the late 1800s on the foothills of central California. Beginning in the early 1900s, the family raised beef cattle and began buying farmland which today is still owned by Ralph and his family. During his career, Ralph and his family have transitioned into diversified agribusiness enterprises and investments. Ralph has a passion for building asset value in agriculture real estate for his family, partners, and clients.
Landon Friend
Salesperson & Business Development
Landon has a breadth of experience in agriculture growing up on his family’s farm in the central San Joaquin Valley and was active in the Future Farmers of America (FFA) showing animals, competing in public speaking events at the national level, and traveling nationwide to educate high school students. While attending Cal Poly San Luis Obispo Landon launched several fundraising campaigns and non-profit organizations including Journeyman International and Sigma Pi Fraternity.
After graduating with a degree in Agriculture Science and a minor in Communications, Landon co-founded an agriculture technology company, Horsepower.com, an online farm-to-fork marketplace. As a shareholder of the corporation, Landon remains active in the business affairs and direction of the company.
